Real time progress reporting and ongoing communication are fundamental parts of our strategy to engage parents and caregivers in their child’s education.  At Quest Collegiate and Recovery Centres parents and students have access to academic performance daily.   Through our RenWeb portal parents or caregivers can log in to their student’s confidential online file at any time.  Information and services that are available to parents include course objectives, classroom assignment outlines, individual assignment grades, the complete school curriculum, Ministry compliant progress reports, transcripts, scheduled events and appointments, staff directory, comments or concerns made by teachers including exemplary or disciplinary reports, attendance records, weekly menu options, tuition account details, re-enrolment forms, and transportation information.  Parents are able to ask questions of individual teachers or administration and request appointments from their portal.

In compliance with FIPPA legislation, students must first consent to the release of recovery performance information to parents or caregivers.   Student recovery progress is measured daily through recovery coaching and counselling sessions, student led recovery meetings, random drug testing, Child and Youth Worker interactions, and unscheduled recovery work.  Clinical notes are maintained in each student’s online file but are inaccessible to parents without the written consent of the youth.   Please refer to the Parent and Student Handbook for detailed information in the Relapse Prevention Policy and Consent to Release Policy.
